Graduate Fellowships in French

In addition to the generous financial support offered through teaching assistantships, the Department encourages graduate students to apply for the following fellowships. Students interested in applying should direct inquiries to the Director of Graduate Studies (Professor Caroline Jewers, cjewers@ku.edu) or to the Graduate School .

Allen S. Wilber Scholarships
For graduating KU senior who plans to pursue graduate study at KU.

Graduate School Honors Fellowships
Open to new applicants or to students in their first semester of graduate enrollment at KU. The award is for three years of study leading to the Ph.D., and the stipend is in the amount of $12,000 per year plus tuition and fees.

Graduate School Summer Fellowships
Summer stipends (approximately $2000) awarded to meritorious candidates. May be used for purposes of research or study abroad.

Dissertation Fellowships
Intended for doctoral students who have passed their comprehensive exams. For one academic year, non-renewable.
